MoD Industrial Cooperation Division

The key priorities of the Industrial Cooperation Section are the development of the domestic defense industry to ensure the country’s defense capabilities in times of crisis, the promotion of exports and Czech interests in foreign markets, and the strengthening of partnerships through cross-border cooperation among defense industry companies. It is precisely the building of partnerships in the field of defense and the defense industry that provides an opportunity to strengthen the Czech Republic’s position as a reliable partner and opens doors in other economic sectors and foreign policy spheres for the long-term promotion of national interests. In addition to the above, the Industrial Cooperation Section is also responsible for defense research and development in the Czech Republic and, through the Military Aviation Supervision Department, oversees the field of military aviation.

One of the section’s foundational documents is the Strategy for Armament and Support of the Development of the Czech Republic’s Defense Industry through 2030. The document’s ambition is to create conditions for the transparent and effective provision of modern, effective, safe, and interoperable military equipment and services to the Czech Armed Forces. The document also sets out and outlines measures to actively support the development of the capabilities and competitiveness of the Czech Republic’s defense industry. At the same time, the document responds to the changed security environment, new international initiatives, and rapid technological changes.
